Terms of Service
By using ButterySpace you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.
1. The license
A ButterySpace license grants you a non-transferable right to use the desktop app and its cloud features for personal or commercial development work. The license is per-person, not per-machine — install it on as many of your own devices as you like. Don't share your license key.
2. What you can't do
- Resell or sublicense ButterySpace.
- Reverse-engineer it for the purpose of circumventing license checks or recreating a competing product.
- Use the service for anything illegal, hateful, fraudulent, or designed to harm others.
- Use ButterySpace to scrape, mass-mine, or otherwise abuse third-party AI providers in violation of their terms.
3. Your content
Your code, your terminal output, your conversations stay yours. We don't look at them and we don't train on them. What you send to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) is governed by their terms.
4. Service availability
ButterySpace is offered "as is" without warranty. We do our best to keep api.butteryspace.com running 24/7, but we don't promise an SLA. The desktop app is local-first — it keeps working when the cloud doesn't.

6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to ButterySpace is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
7. Termination
You can stop using ButterySpace at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (especially section 2). License-key sharing is the most common reason.
8. Changes
We'll post material changes in the Discord at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], [STATE].
